Raise This Up is a new type of web site that leverages user-generated
content.
Rather than having an editor pick the articles you read, you
and other members choose and promote articles anywhere on the web.
Articles are submitted by a registered users. Others click "Raise This
Up" to vote for the article if they find it to be interesting or useful. This
process allows the good articles rise to the top, providing interesting content
to all readers.
"Raise This Up" is a form of crowdsourcing.
"Crowdsourcing" is a term coined by Wired magazine writer Jeff Howe and editor
Mark Robinson in June 2006. Crowdsourcing relies on multiple volunteers who use
their spare time to create content, solve problems, or do research.
Submitting an article:
1. First, find a Christian article on the internet that you enjoy or might
be inspirational to others.
2. Come to Raise This Up and click "Submit A New Article".
3. Cut and paste the link to the article, then add a short title and
description.
4. Other visitors will read the article you submitted, and if they like it,
they will vote for it.
5. Over time, the best articles will make their way to the top, ensuring
interesting reading for all!
Voting on articles:
1. Create your free account by clicking "Sign Up"
2. Browse
the articles and click the title to read them in a new window.
3. If you like the article, click "Raise This Up" underneath the
number of votes
4. To submit an article, click on "Submit a New Article" on the
left hand side.
